Congratulations to the 2004 MJA Boys Team, on winning the Championship of the 2004 Tier 1 Nation's Cup Tournament this weekend, Jan 22-24, in Ann Arbor, MI.

The boys finished pool play an undefeated 4-0, with wins over the Cambridge (ONT) Hawks (4-0), Chesterfield Falcons (4-1), Central Ontario Wolves (4-3), and Ldinka Kiev (Ukraine) (5-3).  The team earned the #1 seed on the USA side of the Nation's Cup Bracket, and earned the right to represent their country in the Championship Game.

The Championship Game was a rematch against #1 Seeded Cambridge.  A variety of goal types led the team to victory, with Hunter Buschke on an even strength goal in the 1st period, and JR Nelson with a Power Play goal in the 2nd.  Landon MacDonald added a Short Handed goal in the 2nd, and Leon Swiatkowski finished it off with an Empty Net goal in the 3rd.  Final score 4-1.
