The Milwaukee Jr Admirals would like to congratulate u19 girls forward Ellie Barney on her commitment to study and play hockey at Middlebury College.

Ellie has defined what a student athlete is through her recruiting process.  She respectfully declined many offers from some powerhouse DI and DIII hockey programs because they were not the academic fit she was looking for.  We are thrilled for her and her family because she will be studying and competing at the exact school she wanted to attend.  Middlebury College is a highly selective college opportunity competing is the NESCAC conference.

Ellie has been a catalyst in the MJA program for several seasons.  She competes with passion and she exhibits a high degree of humility. She is a relentless two way player who has a heavy puck presence at both ends.  Ellie committed years ago to a principle of hard work (on and off the ice), an open-mindedness to be coached and distinction in the classroom.   Nothing is ever assumed with Ellie Barney and these character traits have earned her the opportunity to continue her personal growth at a great college. The MJA family is very proud of Ellie and we wish her and her family continued success.
