Spring Skills Sessions Bantam, Peewee, Squirt, Girls

All skills sessions will be structured as collegiate style practices. Players will perform many repetitions per drill and be expected to execute at maximum intensity.  Many skill and positional drills will be used that force end-to-end play, resulting in challenging practices with very little down time.  Controlled scrimmages under the coaching staff's direction will reinforce concepts and skills being taught.

All age groups Squirt thru Bantam will receive a total of ten 75 minute on ice sessions. The first week the groups will meet at specific times per birth year for evaluation purposes.  After the first week (team evaluation week) Peewees and Bantams will have a choice of Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday groups.   Even if you do not wish to participate on the Tournament Teams you should still attend the skills sessions the first week as they are part of the skills program. Cost for the Skills Program is $375 and includes a MJA jersey.

The skills sessions will be a great way to sharpen skills and stay in shape for participation in WAHA Bantam and Midget programs, as well as Junior and showcase tryouts.  Midget skills sessions program and schedule will be announced soon.

See the table below for dates and times for each group.

Participation in the skills sessions is required for those wishing to tryout for the Spring Tournament Teams.  The teams will be selected by birth year from the skills groups and at the discretion of the MJA staff.
