Jr. Admirals Philosophy

The MJA Organizational "Signature"

MJA is built for the most aspiring, dedicated, hardest working, and most coachable players looking ot take their game to the highest levels of hockey.  MJA's purpose is to expose players to the best fundamental and consistent coaching, instruction, training, advice, and education inside the Tier 1 AAA Level.  MJA's emphasis will always be about player development on and off the ice, and ultimately preparing our players for the game of life.

MJA Long Term Development Model

Internally, our executive board and its directors must continue to evolve daily with new ideas and plans to ensure all MJA families experiences are second to none in the delivery of our mission and the promotion of our culture.  Our coaches teach technical and tactical developmental skills, progressing at each age level within a long-term plan for the players.  Our players must commit to giving maximum effort, having a competitive spirit, and an internal desire to become an elite player.  These principles are non-negotiable expectations for all players within the MJA family.  Our families are asked to support our mission and program with patience and a belief in LTPD model when they join the MJA family.  All involved in our organization must trust and recognize that fundamental skills are developed over years of proper training for players to reach elite levels.

Externally, cohesive unity of all youth hockey organizations in our community will be essential in the development of not only our current MJA players, but the future generations of players to come.  Those who are hockey enthusiasts not directly involved in youth hockey organizations are encouraged to take part in promoting and growing the great sport of hockey in our area.

LTPD model is not a new concept in youth sports and in USA Hockey.  The Milwaukee Jr. Admirals base our development plan for each age level from research proven to work through USA Hockey/ADM Kids, Hockey Canada, and many other organizations worldwide.  We aspire to develop our players into champions in life, while hopefully raising many championship trophies along the way as we begin “Developing a Culture of Champions”.
