The Milwaukee Jr. Admirals will again host our annual alumni game. This year in honor of man who has given much to many, we wish to permanently recognize all that Coach Ulvis Katlaps has done for the organization and for hockey in our area, therfore the board has deceided to officially change the name of the annual game to the UK2 Memorial Alumni Game. The game will be played at the Pettit National Ice Center on Monday December 23rd at 7:15pm.
As a reminder, those alumni planning to attend and play need to contact Matt Medvecz or Matt Murray as soon as possible. You can send either of them an email thru our contacts section of website.
Also, by December 7th please contact Kelly Katlaps (firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com ) if you wish to order a memorial t-shirt and will be attending the social to follow. There will be a small charge of $15 total for T-Shirt.
Thank you much and look forward to seeing all there!
Taming the Zoo Interchange Project at Pettit
On Saturday, October 12th, the 84th Street entrance ramps to I-94 West and East, as well as Kearney Street, will be closed until Summer 2014. Exits from I-94 to 84th Street will remain open. The detour route for 84th Street entrance to I-94 East is to use 68th Street entrance. The detour routes for 84th Street entrance to I-94 West are the Wisconsin Avenue entrance ramp to US45 South or WIS 100 entrance ramp to I-94 West. Detour routes for Kearney Street are to use Greenfield Avenue or Bluemound Road to 76th Street.
There will be additional traffic on North Street immediately in front of the Pettit Center as drivers cut through to reach 76th en route to 68th Street entrance for I-94 East and entrance for I-94 West near 70th Street. Be careful when crossing to and from Pettit parking lot.
If you have any questions, please check: http://projects.511wi.gov/web/zoo-interchange-project.
To better assure the safety of our customers and the security of our parking lot, we will be installing posts, cables, and chains starting this week, which will be similar to the arrangement in State Fair’s North lot. In addition there will be signage and painting of the pavement to direct cars and pedestrians.
The completion of the Zoo Interchange project will be beneficial to all of us. Your patience and support of the Pettit Center during the construction period are greatly appreciated.
