HEAD COACH - MATT MURRAY

Matt has devoted his life to the game of hockey.  Growing up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin he started playing at the age of 5 and has not looked back since.  In effort to further his playing career he moved away from home to attend High School at Culver Military Academy.  After 3 successful years at Prep school he went on to play in the USHL for the Omaha Lancers and the Waterloo Blackhawks.  There he was twice his team’s top-scorer and also represented the USHL on all-star teams that played in the 4 Nations Cup in Fussen, Germany and the King of the Hill Junior A Tournament.  After Juniors Matt decided to live out his dream and attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  As a four-year letter winner Matt was voted most improved player, most consistent player, and was also named Big Ten All-Academic.  After college Matt continued his playing career playing professionally in Germany.

Since his playing days Matt has served as the Vice President of Operations for an expansion Junior A hockey team and currently serves as the Director of Hockey for the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals organization.  Matt has been with the Jr. Admirals for 18 full seasons and this season will coach the program's U16 team.

Matt is the founder of the Scorer's Edge Hockey, which specializes in player development through private lessons, clinics, and camps. Matt also serves as the Central District Scout for USHL Player Development and has work as a skills Coach for the Nashville Predators Development Camp.  Matt has also worked at the USA Hockey Select 16 Festival in Rochester, New York.

Along the way Matt has had part in developing players who have achieved success at the highest levels of hockey: NHL, AHL, NCAA, USHL, and NTDP.
