Jose joined the MJA Coaching Staff after a long history with the program, playing defense for long time and much regarded Coach Ulvis Katlaps.
After his 9-year youth career here in Milwaukee, Jose played for the Sioux City Musketeers and the Indiana Ice of the USHL. After his Jr A career Jose accepted the opportunity to play four years of NCAA Division I hockey at Bowling Green State University in the WCHA.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from BGSU, Jose completed a master’s degree from Marquette University and graduated with a MS in Exercise Physiology. Jose has also achieved his degree and license in Physical Therapy and is currently a physical therapist in the Milwaukee area for St Camillus Hospital and ATI Physical Therapy.
Jose spent 2 seasons coaching youth hockey with Milwaukee Winter Club Bantam A team during his post education. This is Jose's fourth season as a head coach with the Milwaukee Jr Admirals program.

Zach is a native of the Beloit/Janesville area in southern Wisconsin and grew up playing for both Janesville and Beloit’s youth hockey programs. He attended Beloit Memorial High School where he played varsity hockey all four years. Zach also participated in the WEHL program for the Madison region each year and made Team Wisconsin’s NIT team after the conclusion of his senior season.
After high school, Zach played two years of junior hockey for various NAHL and Tier 3 teams. He completed his junior career playing for the New Mexico Renegades in the WSHL where he was recruited to play for the Milwaukee School of Engineering (NCAA D3) in downtown Milwaukee.
Zach was a member of MSOE’s program from 2013-2018 (1 year as a medical red-shirt) and was recognized by his teammates as the team’s MVP in 2018. He also completed his bachelor’s degree in actuarial science and is in the process of obtaining his MBA specializing in business analytics from MSOE.
Zach joined the Jr. Admirals coaching staff in 2018. He also assists with the goalie sessions throughout the season for the Jr. Admirals as well as other youth programs around the Milwaukee area. Prior to joining the Jr. Admirals, Zach worked for High Performance Goaltending and Pinnacle Hockey Development based out of the Madison area from 2012 until 2017.
