Coach Joe Armeli was born and raised in Southeastern WI. He grew up playing youth hockey in Waukesha, WI and then played high school for Catholic Memorial. After high school, Joe went to school at University of Michigan where he played on their ACHA D2 Club Hockey team from 2005-2008. While at school, his team went to the National Tournament each of his final 3 years where he served as a captain during his senior season. 

After graduating, Joe moved back to Milwaukee where he began his coaching career in southeastern WI at the 12U AA level. He did this for a few years before he started his family and began coaching younger age groups where he has continued to coach since 2020. Joe is a USA Hockey level 4 certified coach who brings a lot of energy and excitement to our 10U AAA team. He believes strongly in the lessons hockey can teach young players and strives to develop players in their skill, hockey IQ and compete level. Focusing on teaching young players to enjoy the process and not just the outcome.

Joe currently lives in Pewaukee with his wife and 3 kids. He is excited to begin coaching with the Jr Admirals program where he feels development opportunities are unmatched in southeastern WI. He says he can’t wait to be a small part of turning these kids into better hockey players and great people.
