Matt has dedicated his life to hockey, beginning his journey at age five in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. To advance his playing career, he attended Culver Military Academy for high school, where he excelled for three years. He then played in the USHL for the Omaha Lancers and Waterloo Blackhawks, twice leading his team as the top scorer. Matt also represented the USHL on all-star teams at the 4 Nations Cup in Füssen, Germany, and the King of the Hill Junior A Tournament. Following his junior career, he fulfilled his dream of playing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was a four-year letter winner, voted Most Improved Player and Most Consistent Player, and named to the Big Ten All-Academic Team. After college, Matt played professionally in Germany.Transitioning to coaching and development, Matt served as Vice President of Operations for an expansion Junior A hockey team and is currently the Director of Hockey for the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals, where he has been for 21 seasons. He founded Scorer's Edge Hockey, specializing in player development through private lessons, clinics, and camps. Additionally, Matt is a Central District Scout for USHL Player Development, has worked as a skills coach for the Nashville Predators Development Camp, and coached at the USA Hockey Select 16 Festival in Rochester, New York. He serves as the National Bound Director and Lead Scheduler for the T1EHL and has been a skills coach and assistant coach for the MSOE Division III hockey team for the past eight seasons.Matt has played a key role in developing players who have achieved success at the highest levels, including the NHL, AHL, NCAA, USHL, and NTDP.
