2 former MJA goalies set to square off in the USHL tonight

Tonight, in Plymouth, Michigan, two of our Milwaukee Jr Admiral alums will duel as the Madison Capitols and the National Team Development Program face each other in USHL action. Between the pipes of each net will be goaltenders that honed their skills as part of our MJA youth program. Joey Lamoreaux (1999) and Noah Grannan (2002) both grew up in the Milwaukee area and have recently developed a friendship through their off season training. "Its very exciting to be playing against another former MJA player. I got to know Noah a lot more this past summer, we trained a lot together on and off the ice. We have had this date circled since we saw the schedule. I am very excited to play against him tonight" offered Lamoreaux. When asked about playing against Joey in his USHL debut, Noah said, "We skated together a couple of times this past summer and we worked out together, but to get to play my first junior hockey game against someone I looked up to playing for the Jr Ads is really cool and to get to have my parents here tonight is really special and exciting." We reached out to former MJA goalie coach Elliott Hogue as he spent a lot of time working with both goaltenders while they were Jr Admirals. Hogue offered, "During my time with the Jr Admirals, I was always impressed with the desire to improve that was shown by all the goalies, Joey and Noah were no exception to that. What made them special was their willingness to put in the extra work and ultimately handle themselves like professionals, not just youth hockey players. This gave them the edge necessary to play well consistently, and to show up in the biggest moments."

The Milwaukee Jr Admirals are proud of all of our alumni and we wish Joey and Noah all the best tonight and moving forward!
