Tim Rooney

Coach Tim Rooney was born in Virginia raised in Whitefish Bay Wisconsin. He started playing hockey at age six in the Winter Club Association and his love of hockey truly began when the Milwaukee Admirals AHL players visited his elementary school. This is where he found his drive to play hockey at a higher level leading him to the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals program and Scorer`s Edge Hockey to further his playing ability. Tim graduated from the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals program and pursued his hockey career out east. Playing for multiple junior hockey programs before deciding on attending Providence College in Rhode Island and played club hockey at the College. While attending Tim continued to stay connected to the game he loved and worked for Scorers Edge during his summer breaks helping develop players individual skills with a personalized focus so they can flourish in their seasons and advance to higher levels through their improved skills.

Tim credits the culture and commitment to a long-term development model of the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals as the catalyst for his growth as a player. As an alumnus of the program this is something that he takes pride in and wants to carry on to the next generation of Jr. Admirals. As what separated the great teams he played for here was their commitment to compete, hard work, and the little details that most teams were not willing to do that lead to winning. These core principals are things that Coach Tim is committed to in his philosophy of developing great players and great young men.
