Joey Lamoreaux, a proud native of Shorewood, Wisconsin, ignited his passion for hockey at the age of four. His journey began at the University School of Milwaukee, where he discovered his knack for goaltending. Lamoreaux's skills flourished over seven seasons with the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals, catching the eye of the Madison Capitols in the USHL, who drafted him.
He spent two seasons with the Capitols before earning a commitment to play division 1 hockey at St. Cloud State University, where he played three seasons, reaching the national championship game in his sophomore year. Opting for a new chapter, Lamoreaux transferred to the University of Alaska Anchorage to further his hockey career, finishing up his last collegiate season in March of 2024. He earned a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Real Estate.
In addition to his playing career, Lamoreaux benefited from coaching by top mentors, including Brett Larsen, an Olympic coach and world junior coach for Team USA. Lamoreaux reciprocated this knowledge by coaching goalie camps for Scorers Edge in Milwaukee, contributing to USA Hockey central districts, and assisting former teammates' camps in Minnesota. Now, he eagerly returns to Milwaukee, his hometown, poised to help the next generation of hockey talent.
