18U Head Coach
Coach Mark Adamek was born, raised and began playing hockey in San Diego, California. After moving as a family to the San Jose area, Mark was recruited to play AAA hockey in Vail, Colorado, where he played for his sophomore and junior years of high school. Mark then began his junior hockey career in Grand Rapids, MI for the Grand Rapids Bearcats of the NAHL. After his third season of junior hockey, which included stints for the Grand Rapids Bearcats, Springfield Jr Blues, St Louis Sting, Springfield Spirit, and Rochester Mustangs (USHL), Mark signed a letter of intent to play for Lake Superior State University of the CCHA.
Mark played at LSSU from 2002-2006 and received his Bachelors degree upon graduation. After college hockey, Adamek started a four year career with San Diego and Stockton of the ECHL. In 2009-2010, Coach Adamek played his final season of professional hockey with the Wichita Thunder of the CHL.
Coach Adamek began his coaching career in Salt Lake City, Utah, coaching multiple teams including U14AA, U16AAA and U18AAA. Coach Adamek has been with the Milwaukee Jr Admirals program since the 2014-2015 season.
18U Assistant Coach
Coach George Curry was born and raised in Schaumburg, Illinois. He began his AAA hockey career with the Chicago Young Americans and ended up playing in the Tier One Elite Hockey League for 5 years as a youth player.
From there, George went on to play two seasons for the Soo Eagles in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. George’s NCAA hockey career included stops at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and SUNY-Canton, where George was a two-time captain.
